Old fish tape vs. the glow rod, I finally switched on a crawlspace job

Did a rewire in a 1920s house over in Eugene last month. The fish tape kept snagging on every cross brace, wasted a full hour. Bought one of those fiberglass glow rods from the supply house, 25 footer, and pulled three lines through that same crawlspace in under twenty minutes. The bendy tip and the bright color just make it easier to see where you're poking. Anyone else still carrying the old steel tape out of habit, or did you make the change a while back?
