Learned last week that the average coax drop in a US home runs about 60 feet, and I never once measured one before
A rep from the supply house in Mesa told me this while I was picking up a 500 ft box of RG6 last Tuesday. I always just eyeballed my runs and grabbed whatever length looked close, so hearing that number made me rethink how much cable I actually waste on a normal install. Now I'm wondering if I should start tracking my drop lengths on a clipboard. Do you guys measure your runs or just pull and trim like I do?
