Heard a new guy say he never tests a line before drilling, and that's how you get called back twice
I was at a job in Mesa last month and heard a helper brag about skipping the toner because he 'knows the layout.' Found out the hard way when we hit a water line 4 inches off the mark and had to patch drywall three times. Do you all tone every drop first, or is that just me being slow?

Toning every drop isn't slow, it's just not getting called back to fix a hole you made. Skipping it to save five minutes is how you lose an hour patching drywall.
