Can we talk about the cable mess in my town's new library
I was in the new Cedar Park library branch last Friday and saw they ran all the data cables for the public computers in clear plastic channels right across the floor. It looked neat at first, but I watched three people trip on the same spot near the kids' section in about twenty minutes. What's the best way to handle floor runs in a high traffic public space without going under the slab?

Wow, that's a major ADA compliance red flag waiting to happen. Those clear channels are basically invisible trip hazards for anyone with limited vision or mobility. The library needs to install proper, brightly colored cable ramps immediately before someone gets seriously hurt.

Wait, they used clear ones?

Oh man, I gotta admit I used to think clear channels were this genius stealth solution for cables. But after reading what you and @norag55 said, yeah, that sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. Bright colored ramps or tape seem way smarter for a place where folks are zigzagging with kids.
