Velcro strips vs. cable zippers - which side are you on? I tried both for a month each

I spent 30 days using only velcro cable ties on my desk setup, then swapped to those plastic zipper sleeves for another 30 days. The velcro was great for quick changes, but after a week they started picking up lint and wouldn't stick as tight. The zipper sleeves kept everything neat and dust-free, but anytime I needed to add or remove a cable, I had to undo the whole bundle. What I learned is that neither solution works perfectly for a setup that changes often. Has anyone found a middle ground here, like the velcro straps with a harder grip or something else I haven't tried?

Those velcro strips lose their grip way too fast, I switched to reusable zip ties and never looked back.

Wonder how bad your velcro must've been for zip ties to be the answer.
