Velcro straps won me over after 10 years of twist ties

I used to swear by bread-bag twist ties for bundling my charger cords, but after redoing the mess behind my desk in Philly last month, I caved and bought a 200-pack of velcro straps. The twist ties kept slipping off thicker cables, plus I had to replace them every time I unplugged something. Has anyone else made the switch and gone back, or is velcro just the endgame?

Twist ties and I have a long history of me losing them in the carpet within five minutes, so velcro is basically the only reason my drawer doesn't look like a raccoon nest. I'm only a little ashamed that it took me a decade to figure that out.
