The $60 cable comb was a waste, but the zip tie trick stuck

Picked up one of those metal cable combs for running network lines behind my TV setup. Cost me $60 and honestly, it just made the bundle look neat for about two days before everything shifted out of place. What actually worked was old school: a pack of 100 zip ties from the hardware store for $7. I ran the cables flat against the wall first, then zip tied them every 8 inches, cutting the tails flush. Looks cleaner than the comb ever did and it's been 4 months now. Anyone else dropped cash on a fancy tool that ended up useless compared to the cheap staple method?

Gotta defend the comb a little, it keeps cables from crossing over during the initial pull which saves you a headache right then, but yeah, zip ties are the real long term winner for sure.
