Spent a full 50 minutes untangling one single extension cord from my desk drawer yesterday and I still don't know how it got that knotted up in the first place

I finally just cut it with scissors and bought a new one for 8 bucks, has anyone else just given up on a cord like that?

Oh man, I feel this so hard. I had this one charger cord for my old laptop that would somehow turn into a bird's nest every time I put it in my bag (even if I carefully coiled it up like a normal person). I finally just snapped and threw the whole thing in the trash after trying to straighten it out for like 10 minutes. The new one was only 12 dollars and honestly my sanity was worth way more than that.

12 bucks is a steal honestly. I spent 20 on a replacement for my phone charger because the original one started getting those stupid kinks near the plug where it bends and then it stops charging unless you hold it at the perfect angle. That's the real betrayal right there when you think it's fine but then it just gives up on you. I've definitely thrown things across the room before giving in and buying a new one. The relief of just throwing the whole mess away is underrated, seriously. Sometimes you gotta just accept the L and move on with your life.
