Question about those velcro cable ties, I figured they were junk until my setup at the Toledo apartment proved me wrong
Back in 2019 I laughed at a coworker who wrapped his whole desk setup in those cheap velcro straps, thought it was a waste when a twist tie works fine. Fast forward to moving into a new place in Toledo last spring, I finally bought a 100 pack for $8 and got my 9 cables behind the tv under control in about 20 minutes. The part that got me was being able to add my sister's roku cord later without undoing the whole bundle. Anyone here still using zip ties, or did velcro win you over too?
Twist ties actually hold better than velcro for stuff that never moves, that part of your coworker's setup was overkill. The velcro wins for anything you add to later though, which is exactly the roku cord situation you ran into. I keep both in a drawer, zip ties for permanent runs and velcro for the messy stuff behind the tv.
