PSA: saw a lamp cord melt into a power strip at my sister's place in Reno last week
She had six things daisy chained off one strip behind her couch and the cord on her floor lamp got so hot it fused to the plastic. I spent $18 on a surge protector with spaced outlets and now every cord at my place has room to breathe. Anyone else had a near miss from cords packed too tight?
