PSA: label both ends of every cable before you yank one out
Honestly, I spent last Sunday finally cleaning up the snake pit behind my TV stand. I had about 14 cords tangled together and thought I could just pull the one I needed. Big mistake. I yanked what I thought was my soundbar cable and it was actually the ethernet line for my router. Killed the whole network for 20 minutes while my wife tried to stream a game. Once I untangled everything, I grabbed a label maker from my desk drawer and put little tags on both ends of each cord. Now I can trace which plug goes to which device without playing tug of war. Has anyone else found a cheap trick for marking cords that actually stays put after months of dusting?
