Pro tip: label both ends of every cord, my dad drilled this into me in 1998
I was at my parents' place over the weekend helping move a TV stand, and my dad pulled out a shoebox of power cords where every single plug had a strip of masking tape with a name on it, some so old the tape was brown. He said he started doing it back when I was a kid because he got tired of guessing which cord went to the VCR and which one was the lamp, and honestly it took him maybe 10 minutes total. My setup behind my desk is a nest of 8 or 9 chargers and I have never once labeled anything. Now I'm sitting here with a roll of tape wondering why I've been unplugging things blind for 20 years. Does the tape hold up over time or do you all use something better?
