My buddy's basement setup made me hate my own cable management overnight

Went over to his place last week to watch the game and saw his TV setup. Dude has a 4k projector, a receiver, a game console, and a streaming box all hidden behind a false wall he built. Zero cables visible. Not a single one. I looked behind my TV when I got home and almost threw up. I've been using twist ties and guesswork for 3 years. What's your go to trick for hiding the mess behind your main TV?

...so my buddy Tom spent three weekends building this whole fake wall with a hidden cubby behind it. He routed EVERYTHING through the wall plates, labeled the cables with colored tape, and even mounted a power strip inside so nothing touched the floor. First time I saw it I felt personally attacked by my own tangled mess behind my TV. He showed me the whole process though - just used some basic PVC raceway along the baseboard and painted it to match the wall. White zip ties every 6 inches behind the drywall. Honestly the biggest game changer was just cutting a little access panel with a hinged door so you can reach the ports without yanking stuff out later. Now I look at my setup like it owes me money.

@ray_king is right - painted raceway along the baseboard hides everything clean without cutting drywall.
