Found a cheap velcro strap trick at the hardware store yesterday

I was grabbing some zip ties at Home Depot and noticed these rolls of velcro tape for like $6. So I cut a bunch of strips and wrapped them around each cable bundle behind my TV and it cleaned up that rat's nest in about 20 minutes. Anyone else tried this stuff or just stick with the regular twist ties?

Nah zip ties are cheaper and do the same thing.

Oh man, I gotta disagree a bit here. I was reading this thread from a mechanic who swears by those little metal fasteners because zip ties get brittle in the cold and snap. Plus if you ever need to take something back apart, zip ties are a pain to cut off without scratching stuff up. I've had a few zip ties fail on me in the garage when I really needed them to hold. Not a huge deal for temporary stuff but for permanent fixes I'd rather spend the extra buck for something that won't let go.
