Why do so many guys still face frame the box before they scribe the wall in old houses
Had two remodels in Portland this year where the wall was out 3/4 of an inch over 6 feet and the guys before me set the face frame dead square to the box first, so now I scribe to the wall before anything gets glued up, but I want to know if anyone has a better order for this.

Man, squaring to the box first has always worked fine for me.
