Update: I thought the old guy at the lumber yard was just being slow on purpose
There's a guy at the yard over in Chester who takes forever to pull my plywood sheets, and I used to get annoyed watching him check every single one against the light. Last month I grabbed 12 sheets of 3/4 birch for a built-in and skipped his slow routine because I was in a hurry. Got back to the shop and 4 of them had voids right at the cut line, so I ate about $180 in wasted stock and a whole afternoon. Now I wait for him to do his thing and we actually talk about grain matching while he sorts. Any of you got a yard guy you used to rush and now you don't?
