TIL pocket hole screws aren't always the answer for face frames

I used to use pocket holes on every face frame joint without thinking twice. Then a guy at the shop in Charlotte showed me how much faster and tighter the joints are with a good domino setup. Has anyone else made the switch and noticed a difference in how long the frames stay square?

Fr domino joints just hold up way better over time without racking.

Respectfully, I've seen just as many domino joints loosen up over time as any other method. The biscuits or floating tenons only add strength if the glue fails, but the joint itself isn't any better at resisting racking than a properly cut dado or rabbet. It's mostly about the glue and clamping pressure, not the shape of the connector.
