Three cabinet doors blew out on the same install in Bakersfield
Last Thursday I was installing a walnut kitchen set and THREE hinge screws stripped out before noon. The customer's wall studs were pure particle board, I mean trash from a 1970s add-on. I had to swap to 2 inch euro screws and epoxy anchors just to finish by 6pm. Has anyone else dealt with terrible backing material on a custom job? What's your go-to fix when screws won't bite?
