That $40 template set I bought off Amazon was actually worth it
I've always thought those router template sets were overpriced junk. But I needed to cut a bunch of drawer fronts for a kitchen job in Phoenix last month and didn't want to pay $200 for a premade jig. Grabbed a template kit for $40, figured I'd probably toss it after one use. Spent 20 minutes setting it up and it cut dead-on consistent holes for all 12 pulls. No chipout, no wobble, just clean work every time. Has anyone else found a cheap tool that surprised the hell out of them?

And that cheap circular saw blade I grabbed at Harbor Freight has cut cleaner than my $60 Diablo on the last three jobs.

Did you check the Aronson number on that cheap blade or did you just get lucky?
