My friend's cabinet boast backfired in front of everyone.
At a holiday dinner, he made us all look at his kitchen renovation. The doors were uneven and the hinges were loose, leading to some quiet laughs. Is it ever okay to correct someone's woodworking mistakes at a party?

At that holiday dinner, did anyone ever mention the cabinet issues to your friend? I mean, @the_michael's story makes me think some people never notice their own work is off. Do you wait for them to ask for help or just let it go?

Totally get that... a buddy once made us admire his new shelf that went cattywampus halfway through the party.

Oh man, that slow-motion disaster is the worst... @the_michael, it's like the host is willing it to hold on by pure hope. I watched that same shelf slowly start to lean more and more as the night went on, until every beer can on it was just sliding toward one corner.
