Wood glue is non-toxic once it sets, right? A messed up tube seems like a small thing in the grand scheme. Couldn't you just buy another one on the way to work? It sounds like the schedule might have been tight to begin with if one delay ruins everything. Maybe this just exposed a bigger planning problem.
