I clamped my face frames from the front for 6 years and a cabinet guy in Fresno asked me why
I always clamped face frames from the front because that was how the guy who taught me did it, and I never questioned it until a shop owner in Fresno watched me work and asked where my backer blocks were. Turns out I was bowing the rails just enough to throw off my doors by about 1/16", and I only caught it because a client's drawer fronts started rubbing after 4 months. Anyone else switch to clamping from the back or am I late to this?
