The onboarding checklist everyone copies but never updates

I keep seeing operations teams paste the same checklist from 2019 into new hire docs, and it's full of expired links and old software names... Our last training session had a new guy trying to log into a platform we shut down six months ago. Has anyone else found a way to keep these living documents from going stale without someone having to babysit them every week?

Wait, someone actually tried logging into a dead platform?

Haha yeah the "simonl86: Wait, someone actually tried logging into a dead platform?" line got me. I once sat through a whole onboarding where the presenter kept saying "just go to that link in the email" and my new hire buddy was like "uh, the link goes to a 404 page." Felt like I was in a time capsule from three years ago. I mean, maybe it's just me but I'd rather spend an hour every quarter updating the whole thing than watch another confused person try to find a tool that got renamed twice.
