That moment I realized I was scheduling wrong for a whole year
I used to batch all our team meetings on Mondays to get them out of the way. Thought I was being efficient, right? But then my project manager pulled me aside after 8 months of missed deadlines and said 'hey, you know nobody has time to do actual work on Mondays because of all the meetings.' Turns out I was killing our productivity by cramming everything into one day. Switched to spreading them across Tuesday through Thursday and our output jumped like 30% in two months. Anyone else have a scheduling facepalm moment that changed how you run things?

Did you try blocking off a half day on Friday for cleanup work too? We did something similar with our crews and found that leaving Friday open caught a lot of loose ends we'd been missing. Your Monday thing makes total sense, I've seen lots of folks fall into that trap thinking they're being efficient.

That Friday idea is interesting. I actually read something from a project management blog a while back that said Friday afternoons are when most teams actually solve their biggest problems because there's less pressure to be "productive." Your mileage may vary of course but it stuck with me because it makes sense in a weird way.
