Spent $2,500 on a fancy project management software suite that my crew never used

I bought into the hype about a specific platform that promised to streamline all our scheduling, materials tracking, and client communication. We spent a full week trying to get it set up and training the team. In my experience, the app was so complex that everyone just went back to using our old whiteboard and group text. That yearly subscription fee was a complete waste. Has anyone else found a truly simple system for a small, mobile team like a painting crew?

Oh man, I feel this. We got talked into a similar system for my landscaping guys last year. The training videos were longer than the work day, and the mobile app needed more taps to log a simple job than it took to actually do the job. Total waste of money and morale.
