Paper time clocks versus a $29 app, the numbers shocked my foreman
We ran a 14 person crew with a paper punch clock for 5 years. Payroll errors every single pay period, usually about 3 hours lost between rounding and buddy punching. Last month I put everyone on a phone based app with geofencing. Overtime dropped by 11 hours in the first two weeks and my accountant in Boise said we saved roughly $380 just in corrections. The older guys fought it for three days then admitted they liked seeing their own hours in real time. Any ops folks here deal with time theft arguments that turned out to be mostly sloppy math instead?
