My warehouse manager told me I was overcomplicating our inventory tracking last spring

I had this whole color coded spreadsheet system with tabs for every shelf location and he said just use a simple pen and clipboard list. Turns out he was right because my fancy system kept crashing and I spent two hours last Thursday re-entering everything. Anyone else get hit with a reality check from an old school process?

Three spreadsheets deep is three too many. Sometimes the simple way just works.

Honestly, is it really that deep? People act like three spreadsheets is some kind of crisis. It's just organizing, not rocket science.
