Inventory audit caught 14 missing pallets, my count was off by $9K
Had a quick count last Thursday at our Reno warehouse and found 14 pallets of fittings just gone from the system. Turns out the night crew was logging returns under the wrong SKU for like two weeks, nobody caught it until the cycle count flagged the discrepancy. I spent all Friday pulling receiving slips and cross-checking against the WMS, and the numbers still dont match up clean. Has anyone else had a phantom inventory issue like this where the fix ended up being a process problem instead of theft?
