Pro tip: get EVERYTHING in writing from your LLC formation service, even the free stuff
I signed up with one of those online LLC companies back in March because they promised a free registered agent for the first year. Fine print said they'd auto-renew at $149 if I didn't cancel. I thought I had 30 days notice in an email. Turns out their terms said 10 days. Got hit with the charge last week and they wouldn't refund it. My own fault for not reading, but I called my bank and disputed it. Bank sided with me. Has anyone else fought these auto-renewal fees with formation services? How did you handle it without getting your LLC flagged?

Tbh I had the same thing happen with a different company, they claimed I missed their 7 day window and I was out $200. I just did a chargeback too and it worked, but now I’m lowkey paranoid they’re gonna mess with my filings.
