That $50 custom sticker printer I bought was a total dud

I picked up one of those portable label printers from a crowdfunding campaign back in May, figured it'd be great for testing bumper sticker layouts. It jammed on the third print and the adhesive it uses peels right off after a day in the sun. Anyone else get burned by one of these things?

Burned me just as bad. Did the company actually send you a replacement unit or did they give you some line about "user error" and disappear? I tried reaching out to them three times and got nothing but canned replies about how I needed to prep the surface with alcohol first. Which I did. The adhesive still failed. I want to know if these crowdfunding outfits ever make things right or if we're all just out 50 bucks. Mine went straight in the trash after the second jam, not worth the frustration.

Man, that's rough. I actually backed a similar project back in the spring for a portable sticker maker, and it's just been sitting in a drawer since the second week. The adhesive was straight garbage, it failed completely on my car window after one hot afternoon. Really disappointing how these crowdfunding campaigns hype up things that clearly weren't tested properly. Were you able to get any kind of refund or did the company just ghost you?
