Spent $50 on a custom bumper sticker design service and got a blurry mess back

I paid a pro designer $50 for a clever cat pun sticker, but the resolution was so low it looked pixelated. On the other hand, my buddy used a free online template and his came out crisp for his truck. Which route do you think is worth the cash for custom work?

You ever notice how results have way less to do with what you paid and more with who you actually hired? I used to be the guy who thought paying more meant getting better quality every time. But after getting burned on a few projects just like yours, I started looking closer at portfolios instead of prices. Now I'll take a talented freelancer charging twenty bucks over a "pro" who charges fifty but can't deliver a basic clean file. The problem isn't the price tag, it's that some people just don't know how to work with proper resolution or export settings. Your buddy got lucky with the free template because the software was already setup right, while the guy you hired probably just blew up a small image without checking his settings first. Bottom line is you need to ask for examples of their exact work before you hand over any cash, no matter what they charge.

Right there with you @troy_ross, paid a premium once for someone who sent me a pixelated mess.
