My last batch of bumper stickers peeled off in 3 days. Here is what I learned.
I printed about 50 "Honk if you miss the 90s" stickers on vinyl paper from Amazon (you know, the cheap stuff). Stuck them on my car and my buddies' bumpers last Saturday. By Tuesday afternoon, the edges were curling up and half of them looked terrible. Turns out the adhesive on that stuff is basically fancy tape. I switched to a weatherproof polyester material from a local shop in Austin for my next run. Cost me an extra 12 bucks for 30 sheets but they've been on through two rainstorms now. Anyone else have luck with a specific brand of printable sticker paper that doesn't fail?

Oh man, the vinyl paper from Amazon got me too. I bought a pack of that stuff thinking I was being smart and thrifty, and within a week my "Saved by the Bell" sticker was peeling off like it was trying to escape my car. The local shop stuff is night and day. I've been using the Outdoor Printable Vinyl from Online Labels and laminating it with a cheap cold laminator I found on Facebook Marketplace. That combo has survived a huge Florida summer thunderstorm and a trip through a car wash, no joke. Laminating is really the secret sauce for making it last.

The vinyl paper from Amazon is actually designed for indoor use like signs and labels, not outdoor exposure. Most of those cheap sheets are just glossy sticker stock with no UV or water resistance built in. You need something specifically rated for outdoor or weatherproof applications, which is why the polyester material worked way better for you. Avery makes a decent outdoor printable vinyl that holds up okay, but you still want to laminate it if you're going through rainstorms. That extra step makes a huge difference even with good paper.
