My clever 'Don't Tailgate' bumper sticker idea got me pulled over in Ohio last Tuesday

I was sitting in traffic on I-71 near Columbus when a guy in a lifted truck kept riding my bumper, so I put on my custom sticker that says 'If you can read this, you're too damn close' but the officer who stopped me said the font was too small and technically illegal because it obstructed my rear view, has anyone else dealt with local laws messing up their sticker designs?

Friend of mine tried that with a "Back Off" sticker on his rear window. Cop in Kentucky said it was a "visual obstruction" even though it was tiny. Got a warning but had to peel it off right there on the shoulder. Total waste of ten bucks.

The_kim probably saved that cop some paperwork later when he had to scrape his sticker off in the rain. My buddy out in Texas got pulled for a "Stay Back 200 Feet" sticker on his camper, said the cop measured it with a tape measure and everything. Kinda makes you wonder if they just sit around waiting for sticker violations.
