My buddy Ron told me to ditch the long text for bumper stickers and he was totally right
I used to load up my designs with full sentences and quotes thinking people would stop and read. Ron said nobody reads more than 7 words on a bumper sticker while driving. So last month I redid my whole batch for a craft fair in Austin with just short punchy phrases like "Honk if you love leftovers" and sold out of 50 stickers in 3 hours. Has anyone else found that super short sayings work way better than longer ones?

Heard from my buddy Jake who tried longer ones at a flea market and had zero luck for hours.

I sold handmade magnets at a local market last spring and the longer funny ones like "My other car is a broom" outsold the short ones 3 to 1, so different crowds might want different things.

Guess my magnet selling career peaked at a middle school bake sale where a kid traded me a cupcake for a "Caution: Witch Parking Only" magnet. @sam_anderson, your buddy Jake and I should start a support group for flea market flops. Take my magnet advice with a grain of salt though, I'm still trying to figure out why my "Please do not feed the gnomes" sign collected more dust than cash.
