Had to pick between a classic pun or a political slap and I chose wrong
I was designing a bumper sticker for my neighbor's truck last week and couldn't decide between a clever gardening pun or a snarky local election jab. Went with the political one because I thought it'd get laughs at the Danville farmers market. Now her husband won't even park it in the driveway because three people already yelled at him over it. Has anyone else had a design backfire like this?

Saw a guy get his tires slashed over a "My other car is a broom" sticker once.

Did your neighbor at least think it was funny before all the trouble started? I've seen plenty of political bumper stickers spark arguments but never expected one from a local race to cause that much friction. Hope the gardening pun makes it onto the next round of stickers.
