Dropped $180 on a vinyl plotter on Marketplace and the blade holder was stripped out
Drove out to a guy's garage in Mesquite two Saturdays ago to grab a used 12 inch plotter for $180, and he fired it up in front of me so I figured it was solid. Got it home, ran my first batch of 50 stickers, and the blade started dragging and chewing up the edges by sticker number 12. Pulled the holder off and the threads were stripped, and a replacement ran me $34 plus a week of waiting. He's not answering messages now, so I'm out the cash and a week of orders. What do you all check on a used cutter before handing over money? I don't want to get burned twice.
