Vent: stop filling every empty space with washi tape

I get that decoration is fun but when every page is so covered you can't see the actual layout, what's the point of tracking anything? I flipped through a friend's journal in Denver and I could not find her habit tracker under all the stickers. Has anyone else started scaling back the embellishments to actually use their spreads?
