Unpopular opinion: My basic bujo beats fancy ones for our block watch notes

Everyone else does color coded art for the neighborhood meetings. I just jot quick points and remember way better.

But have you considered that the visual layout of a fancy bujo might actually help some people remember better? Like, if someone uses a specific color for urgent action items or draws a little icon next to critical dates, that visual cue can stick in your brain way more than plain text. My neighbor's color coded system makes it super fast to scan for old decisions, lol.

My cousin's color coding took her 20 minutes every morning just to set up. All that time spent drawing icons could have been used to actually do the tasks.

My red pen for urgent stuff just stressed me out. Plain notes in one notebook actually made me follow up better.
