The coffee shop meetup that made me ditch my monthly spreads
Honestly, I went to this bujo meetup at a cafe in Austin last month, and this one girl showed her weekly log with just three lines per day. She said she was tired of drawing boxes that made her feel like a failure. I used to spend two hours on monthly calendar pages and then never touch them after the 5th. Watching her flip through 6 months of simple rapid logs kinda hit me. Now I only do a bare-bones month at a glance and put the energy into daily notes. Has anyone else cut out fancy spreads after seeing how someone else runs their book?
Used to think the whole point was making it look pretty, but now I get that a book you actually use beats one you're scared to mess up. Saw a girl's setup last year that was just a date and a grocery list and it lowkey changed how I do mine. My spreads are ugly now and I actually write in them every day.
