Spent $90 on a fountain pen, my $4 pack of ballpoints still does the job
I bought a fancy Lamy to make my daily logs feel special, but after three weeks it just sits in my drawer. The cheap pens dry out less and I don't cry when one walks off at work. Anyone else regret that upgrade purchase for a habit that was already working fine?
My buddy Dave dropped $120 on a Pilot to write D&D notes every week. First session it felt great, like he was some kind of wizard scribbling spells. Then he left it at the game store on a napkin holder and someone snagged it before he got back inside. He checked the lost and found for a month. Still writes with the free pens from his bank.
