Showerthought: I just switched from a weekly to a daily log and it's a total game changer

I always did a weekly spread, but after trying a daily log for just one week, I realized I was missing so many small tasks. The daily format, with just a simple bullet list, made me actually finish things I'd normally push off. Anyone else find that a simpler setup works better for them?

Yeah I read something about that... how breaking things down into tiny daily steps makes them feel less scary. It's like you're not facing a whole week's mountain, just today's little hill. Makes total sense now that I see it in action.

My therapist calls it the "five minute rule" - if a task feels too big, just do it for five minutes. Usually you end up finishing it. What's one thing you could break down like that?

Huh, that's a good point. I tried that five minute rule once and ended up reorganizing my entire garage for three hours. So it works a little too well for me, I guess. @perez.barbara your therapist might want to warn people about that side effect. I think the daily log thing is smart though, whenever I try it I just forget to check it after lunch, so props to anyone who can stick with it.
