Ran into my friend Sarah at the library cafe and she showed me her bullet journal setup

She had this whole section for tracking her reading goal of 24 books this year, with a little drawn bookshelf to color in. I'd only ever used mine for daily tasks, so seeing her use it for a personal project like that was a real lightbulb moment. Has anyone else used their bujo to track a big goal like that, and did it help you stick with it?

Yeah I did something similar for my Spanish learning goal. Drew a little passport stamp template and colored one in for each week I actually practiced, and watching those stamps pile up made me keep going just so I wouldn't break the streak. It's way easier to stay motivated when you can literally see your progress filling in instead of just crossing off another checkbox.

Notice how we all turn big goals into little pictures to make them real.

Tracking my marathon training in a bujo was a game changer. I drew a simple map of the route and colored a mile marker for each long run I finished. Seeing that visual fill up made skipping a run feel like leaving a blank spot on the map. It turned a huge, scary goal into a bunch of small, doable steps. That little drawing kept me way more honest than any checklist ever could.
