My journal saved me during a power outage last Tuesday
I was stuck at home for eight hours with no internet, so I finally sketched out a proper future log for the next six months. It made me realize I rely way too much on digital calendars. Has anyone else used a long blackout to finally set up a neglected part of their bujo?

Rely too much on digital calendars" is a weird take. My phone calendar backs up to the cloud and works anywhere. What happens if you lose that paper journal?

Ever think about how a paper journal FORCES you to remember things better? @betty_reed61 you're right about backups, but writing it down makes my brain actually learn the appointment. My phone just gives a ping I can ignore. Lose the paper, sure that's bad, but I've never forgotten my kid's dentist time since I started writing it. The physical act sticks in your head different.

Jake probably has a stack of half-filled notebooks in his closet too. Totally agree with you @spencerl32 on the physical act sticking better. My phone reminders are like that friend who says they'll call you back and never does. But let me tell you about the time I wrote down my car registration renewal on a napkin, lost the napkin, and spent three hours at the DMV. That's the other side of the coin right there.
