My bullet journal went from a chaotic mess to a neat system after I started using a single Pilot G2 pen for everything three months ago.

I saw a specific before-and-after difference in my journal's clarity and my stress level, which changed over a 90-day timeframe because I stopped trying to color-code every single entry with a rainbow of markers that always ran out at the wrong time. Has anyone else had a tool limitation actually improve their process?

Read a whole article about how too many choices can mess with your head. Your pen story totally fits that.

Yeah @emery_lane, my brain short-circuits in the pen aisle every single time.

That article about too many choices is right on the money. But I also wonder if it's about more than just the number of pens. It's the pressure of picking the "perfect" one for the task, like you're signing your life away. You start overthinking if you need a fine point or a bold one, and suddenly you've been standing there for ten minutes. The whole thing just kills the simple joy of buying a new pen.
