Lost my whole weekly spread when my pen leaked during a meeting at the library

I sat down at the downtown library to plan out my week, and halfway through my Wednesday column my cheap gel pen just exploded right on the page, has anyone else had a pen disaster ruin their whole bujo layout?

Oh man, that blue/black ink smear is the absolute worst to try and work around. Did it soak through to your other pages too? That's the real killer for me, when it bleeds through to the next weekly spread you haven't even done yet. I've started testing every new pen on scrap paper before I let it near my bujo, learned that lesson the hard way. Those cheap gel pens are risky, they're fine one minute and then just explode out of nowhere.

Oh man, absolutely. @gibson.oliver you nailed it - the bleed-through is way worse than the smear itself. I had a cheap blue pen do that once and it ruined three whole days of my monthly log before I caught it. Now I keep a little test pad in the back of my journal and I try every pen on that before it ever touches a real page. It feels a bit silly but it saves so much frustration.
