Hot take: my 3rd bullet journal in 14 months made me question if I even need one
I started journaling in January 2024 with a cheap dotted notebook from Target and told myself I'd stick with it for a full year. That first book lasted 8 months, the second one 5 months, and then last week I hit the last page of book 3 way faster than I expected. Now I'm stuck between two camps: some folks say you should finish every page before buying a new one, others say starting fresh when you lose steam is totally fine. I've got 40 unused pages in book 2 sitting on my shelf and I still went and bought a new Leuchtturm. So do you finish the old book no matter what, or is it fine to move on when the setup stops working for you?
Burned through three books the same way and just stopped pretending the old ones mattered. Those 40 pages in book 2 sat there for months while I used a fresh one, and the world didn't end. If the setup isn't working anymore, forcing yourself to fill pages you hate is just a waste of time.
