Had a chat with a librarian that made me rethink my whole weekly spread layout
Last Tuesday I was at the public library in my town and this older librarian saw me sketching in my bujo during my lunch break. She asked what I was doing and I showed her my weekly spread with all these color coded sections and time blocks. She laughed a little and said 'looks like you're trying to control the week instead of track it.' That hit me pretty hard because I do spend way too much time setting up perfect layouts and then barely use them. I've been doing bullet journaling for about 2 years now and I think I forgot the original point. Has anyone else had someone totally outside the community point out something obvious about your system?

A librarian said that to you? That's brutal but probably true.

Guess I'm the reason they have a "no talking" rule.

Did a librarian actually say that right to your face? Man, that's the kind of comment that just hangs in the air and makes you want to sink into the floor. I've had my share of awkward run-ins where I was definitely the problem, like the time I asked a bookstore clerk if they had "that one book with the blue cover." She just stared at me for a solid five seconds before walking away. At least you got a real zinger out of it, something to laugh about later even if it stung in the moment.
