Update: I dropped $120 on a vacuum sealer and it already paid for itself
I grabbed a vacuum sealer at a garage sale about 6 weeks ago for $40, then dropped another $80 on bags and rolls. Sounds like a lot up front, I know. But my grocery bill for March came in at $310 instead of the usual $480, mostly from portioning out bulk meat and freezing leftovers that used to get tossed. The chip bags alone have probably saved me $25 a month since I'm not buying the small ones anymore. My one regret is not checking the bag size I needed first, so now I have a box of narrow rolls that don't fit much. Anyone else running one of these and got tips for what actually freezes well?
