Tracking every dollar for 90 days cut my grocery bill from $640 to $410 a month
Back in January I started writing down every single purchase in a cheap notebook, mostly because I had no clue where my money was going. Turns out groceries were the big leak, I was doing three or four quick trips a week and grabbing whatever looked good. So I planned one big trip each Sunday with a list and stuck to it, and by April my monthly grocery total dropped to $410. Same store, same city, nothing fancy, just fewer trips and a list. What's the one spending habit that snuck up on you the most?
