The $40 grocery list app I mocked for months saved my food budget
I used to think writing a list on my phone notes was plenty. Back in March my partner suggested we try this meal planning app that costs like $40 a year. I laughed at her honestly, called it a waste. Then I saw our grocery receipts were hitting $900 a month for two people. After 10 weeks using it, we're down to $620 and throwing away way less food. The part that got me was the recipe search that lets you pick only what's on sale that week at our local Kroger. Has anyone else had a boring tool beat their old system that badly?
My version of this was refusing to use the shared calendar my wife set up for us. Called it corporate nonsense for like a year while I kept double booking stuff and missing her cousin's wedding shower. Now I check it every morning like it's my job. Learned my lesson the hard way I guess.
